Informatica from Salesforce<\/a>, the AI-powered cloud data management leader, today announced four new capabilities deepening its collaboration with\u00a0Snowflake<\/a>, the AI Data Cloud company. Unveiled at\u00a0Informatica World 2026, the innovations span agentic AI integration, access governance and open-format data discovery \u2014 enabling joint customers to build, govern, and scale enterprise AI on Snowflake with greater speed and confidence.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The exciting innovations we’re announcing today for Snowflake helps to ensure that agents built in Cortex AI and analytics workloads run by our joint customers are powered by governed, high-quality data and Trusted Context.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

“Snowflake is committed to helping enterprises build and scale AI apps and agents on a trusted, governed, data foundation. Informatica is an important partner in helping us make that vision real for the enterprise,” said Chris Child, Vice President of Product, Data Engineering, Snowflake<\/strong>. “From one of our ecosystem’s first MCP integrations with Cortex AI to unified governance for open-data, these capabilities enable joint customers to move faster with AI without compromising on governance or openness.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Informatica is one of the first Snowflake partners to deliver headless data management integration with Snowflake Cortex AI. Developers building agents in Cortex AI can now invoke\u00a0Informatica\u2019s\u00a0Headless\u00a0Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)\u00a0\u2014 including Metadata Search and Address Verification \u2014 from\u00a0Informatica’s Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC)\u00a0directly within their agentic workflows. The result is a plug-and-play, governed data layer for building enterprise agents on Cortex AI with no custom connectors and no compromise on data quality. Currently in Private Preview,\u00a0Informatica\u2019s Headless\u00a0IDMC will be broadly accessible as the integration moves toward general availability.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

For enterprises focused on access governance, Informatica is highlighting the general availability of row-level access policy management for Snowflake Tables within its\u00a0Cloud Data Access Management (CDAM)\u00a0framework. Centralized access policies defined in CDAM now propagate automatically to Snowflake Tables \u2014 delivering a true “build once, deploy anywhere” governance model without manual recreation inside Snowflake. This capability is generally available.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Many enterprises are embracing open data architectures. As part of Informatica’s April 2026 release, Informatica is making generally available, CDGC scanners for Snowflake Managed Iceberg Tables automatically extract technical metadata, map end-to-end lineage, and apply AI-powered profiling to identify sensitive data \u2014 linking open-format assets to business glossaries and governance policies regardless of where they live.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
