The move is part of a series of management changes announced in the run-up to <strong>COO Henrique Braun<\/strong> taking the helm at the US drinks behemoth in March. <strong>Sedef Salingan Sahin<\/strong> has been named chief digital officer, a new position to \u201cunify digital, data and operational excellence across the company\u201d, the Fanta and Sprite owner said in a statement.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In the position, Sahin, currently the president of Coca-Cola\u2019s business in Eurasia and the <a title=\"WSO2 expands in middle east with new partnerships\" href=\"https:\/\/thecatalystonline.in\/home\/wso2-expands-in-middle-east-with-new-partnerships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Middle East<\/a>. will also be \u201cintegrating the company\u2019s digital network and connecting work across related functions\u201d.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cThe chief digital officer position is a pivotal new role for our future,\u201d Braun said. \u201cOver the next several months she will assess how to organise the teams responsible for digital across the enterprise to help strengthen execution, simplify how we work and enable us to deliver for consumers with greater precision and speed.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Sahin joined Coca-Cola in 2003 and worked as marketing president for the group\u2019s nutrition, juice, dairy and plant business.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Up until now, <strong>Coca-Cola president and CFO John Murphy<\/strong> has overseen the company\u2019s digital strategy work.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>Manolo Arroyo<\/strong>, an executive vice president at Coca-Cola and its chief marketing officer has been handed the roles of executive vice president and chief marketing and customer commercial officer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Coca-Cola has also created \u201ctwo new market groupings\u201d, that will report into Braun to help the business sharpen its focus in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Sanket Ray, president of the India Southwest Asia operating unit at Coca-Cola will now see \u201cemerging markets lead\u201d added to his title. In this role he oversees markets in India Southwest Asia, Greater China and Mongolia, Japana and South Korea.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Claudia Lorenzo, the chief of staff to present CEO James Quincey, has also been appointed president of the Fuze tea maker\u2019s Eurasia and Middle East operating unit and emerging multi-markets lead.
