Perle, a Web3-enabled AI data training platform, has secured $9 million in a seed funding round led by Framework Ventures, bringing its total funding across pre-seed and seed stages to $17.5 million.

Founded by Ahmed Rashad, an Egyptian entrepreneur and Ain Shams University graduate, the company aims to leverage human knowledge to advance AI model training and evaluation.

Launching Perle Labs to Boost AI Data Quality

With the new capital, Perle will roll out Perle Labs, a digital ecosystem designed to merge blockchain infrastructure with incentive-based design.
The platform will offer transparent payments, direct attribution via blockchain, and verifiable work records, enabling global participation and significantly improving data quality at scale.
This approach positions Perle as a frontrunner in solving one of AI’s biggest challenges: bridging critical data gaps.

Human Input Outperforms Algorithms

CEO Ahmed Rashad noted that even the most advanced AI models still struggle with rare, ambiguous, or context-specific scenarios.
According to Perle’s benchmark study, high-quality human-managed annotations outperformed Amazon Rekognition by more than 70%, proving that precise human insight is essential to boost AI performance.

Building a Global, Open Ecosystem

Perle Labs is committed to building a global community of data contributors, expanding access to diverse, documented datasets, rewarding participants, and providing immutable proof of work on the blockchain.
This decentralized model aims to reduce bias, improve AI accuracy, and give developers and enterprises access to higher-quality, more reliable data — addressing the demands of a rapidly growing global AI market.
