OpenAI today announced the appointment of Denise Dresser as Chief Revenue Officer, where she will oversee the company’s global revenue strategy across enterprise and customer success. As one of the fastest-growing business platforms in history, OpenAI is accelerating its mission to help organizations integrate AI into everyday operations—and Denise will play a pivotal role in expanding that impact across industries.

A seasoned technology executive, Denise brings extensive experience in scaling products and teams that transform how people work. She most recently served as CEO of Slack, guiding the company through its successful integration with Salesforce and advancing the way millions of professionals use AI to collaborate more efficiently. Before Slack, she spent more than a decade at Salesforce, where she built and led global sales organizations serving some of the world’s most complex enterprise customers.

“We’re on a path to put AI tools into the hands of millions of workers, across every industry. Denise has led that kind of shift before, and her experience will help us make AI useful, reliable, and accessible for businesses everywhere,” said Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications.

Denise joins OpenAI at a defining moment, as AI becomes an integral part of daily work. Businesses globally are moving beyond pilots and isolated use cases, adopting AI as a dependable engine for mission-critical processes and applications. This transformation is already producing measurable results: 75% of workers report that AI has improved the speed or quality of their work, with many saving 40–60 minutes per day, and heavy users saving over 10 hours per week. Additionally, three-quarters of users say AI now enables them to complete tasks that were previously out of reach.

OpenAI is structured to support this rapid adoption. ChatGPT for Work helps teams deploy AI quickly, while OpenAI’s API enables deep integration of AI into enterprise systems. More than one million business customers—including Walmart, Morgan Stanley, Intuit, Databricks, Target, and Lowe’s—use OpenAI technologies to enhance customer experiences, strengthen internal operations, and streamline daily workflows.

“I’ve spent my career helping scale category-defining platforms, and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to OpenAI as it enters its next phase of enterprise transformation,” said Denise Dresser, Chief Revenue Officer.
